I got the following error message for Spybot 1.4:

"There were problems in the include File c:\Program Files|Spybot - Search_Destroy\Includes\Trojans.sbi

See ‘Include errors.log’ for details."

I cannot find any such errors.log in either the Spybot main directory or in the Includes sub-directory.

Any suggestions?

Hi robls99

I have moved your thread to General Security.

I believe you will get better answers here.

I looked and I have no errors.log in Include?

You can find the Include folder here.

Using Windows Explorer (to get there right-click your Start button and go to "Explore"),

c:\Program Files|Spybot - Search_Destroy\Includes

Geri

The error log should be located in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Spybot - Search & Destroy\Logs

However, you can access it through the Spybot interface.

Click Mode>Advanced on the Menu
Click Tools in the left pane
Click View Report in the left pane
Click View previous report in the main window
It should open a dialog box in the Logs folder where the Include errors.log will be available

Thank you both.

Noahdfear, thanks for the detailed reply (as usual).

Rob

You’re welcome, Rob. :)

Silly question (?)

It seems that the Include Log just identifies the name of the suspect file (there’s not even a date in the master list).

What are you supposed to do with this info?

Help!

The 3 files in the error log are:

DNSChanger.rtk

Win32.agent.fr1

delf.spool.cn

I still don’t understand what I have to do to fix these and keep Spybot from halting when the error message pops up.

3rd request in 3 weeks - anybody?

I’d post your query over in the official Spybot forums

You’re likely to get a quick and concise answer.

TeMerk,

ok, thanks for the link

Rob
